Children's and youth groups
An exciting mix of ancient cities, riding elephants in the jungle, the pilgrimage birthplace of the Buddha, a hill town, the spectacular Himalaya, and fun activities – all in just two weeks!
Organised by BBC presenter Steve Carver, Angel Holidays also specialises in tours specifically for children and young adults. These wonderful programmes are designed to promote the learning of new cultures through a mixture of fun, physical activity and cultural exchange  all in a safe and responsible environment.  As Angel Holidays is ethical there is also a charitable element to each tour where we help children or a charity.  Please see our example below.

Programmes can also be tailor-made for your group: we can add a charitable,  home-stay  or social work experience; such as a days' teaching Nepalese children, as part of your stay. Please contact us to discuss your needs. All tours are professionally managed, and your association's mentors, teachers or supervisors are actively encouraged to take part in the trip, as part of our team. We typically prefer a ratio of one tutor/teacher per five children.

International flights from the UK are not included but we can help you find these  typically flight prices start at around £450.

Please contact us for more information.

Today is unique in that we are going to be taken around old Bhaktapur by young people who live there. Day 8, BB
Continue to Lumbini birthplace of Buddha, for a 1 night stay - unusually inside a monastery (guest house) near the sites. Today our jovial monk will take the children around Lumbini by bicycle and rickshaw, explaining the story and history of the Buddha. Cycling will be a lot of fun too!  Children may also be taught the theory of meditation and how it can be used practically, as well as experiencing the monastery at first hand.
Day 9, BB
We leave the monastery behind us and drive to the hill town of Tansen where we stay overnight in a quaint guest house. We'll meet older children from a local school who'll take us around this small hill town, giving us an insight into their lives.  You'll have the chance to make new friends too!
Day 10, BB
Today we continue to the beautiful town of Pokhara surrounded by the Himalaya and stay near its lovely lake - Nepal's second largest.  Rest of the day free to enjoy the many restuarants and open air cafes along the lake.
Day 11, BB
This morning we go on to the lake to learn kayaking. After a basic introduction we'll set off to explore the lake and its lovely shores. In the afternoon we drive to a nearby Gurkha museum run by retired Gurkha soldiers. This is followed by a visit to a colourful Tibetan refugee village. Angel Holidays will be donating a much needed television to an old persons' home here on behalf of the group.
Day 12, BB
After such a busy schedule today is a free day to continue to enjoy the lovely setting of Pokhara. There is plenty to do from boating, to shopping along its colourful lakeside stalls. Bicycles can be hired cheaply to ride around the lake, there are numerous beauty treatment and massage centres as well as attractive cafes and restaurants.  If teachers are brave enough, they could try their hand at tandem paragliding or micro-lighting too!
Day 13, HB
Today we make our scenic drive back to Kathmandu. In the evening there will be a special (included) farewell dinner. HB
Day 14
